To The Mysterious City

He looked over the ledge and took a deep breath. Ah, the smell of adventure.
Across the sea, he saw what the shepherd had described to him as the “dark, mysterious city that nobody came back from.” In other words, his next destination. And from where he stood, it looked just as awe-inspiring as he had hoped.
The waves lapped up the shore while the breeze echoed faint, familiar songs in his ears. Dark clouds soon started to swirl around the island city, and he smiled.
Wrapping his cloak tightly around his neck, he dived headfirst into the sea. The water was cold and uninviting, just the way he liked it. With strong, masterful strokes, he swam towards the city.
