The Girl By The River Ledge
She held her breath as she stared at the dark waters below.
She was constantly bullied in her youth for not being what society thought she should be: beautiful, talented, someone worth being.
She was tired now, and just wanted to end it all.
She took one step closer to the ledge. She was half-hoping someone would come by to stop her, half-hoping someone would care.
But no. Nobody was coming. Nobody would come.
She slipped off the edge and plunged into the rushing river below. It made a loud splash that only the lone figure in the forest heard. A mere mutter escaped their lips.
“Good riddance.”
