Bathrobe

I kissed her lightly on the mouth and breathed in her scent. The smell of our mingled sweat was still lingering on her skin, and I growled as I wrapped my arms around her.
She shrugged me off and got up. “No. I have to go,” she said sternly, as she picked up the towel on the side table.
I stood up behind her and pulled her close to me. She did not protest when I kissed her shoulder and slowly caressed her arms. “You don’t need to go,” I whispered in her ear, licking at the lobe. “Stay here with me.”
She quickly turned to face me and kissed me furiously. I was about to drag her back in bed when she pushed me away and got up. “I have to go,” she repeated simply as she entered the bathroom and closed the door. The lock clicked behind her.
Smirking, I moved to the side table, where we left our keys and phones. I picked up the gold ring she left lying there earlier and tried it on for size. It was a perfect fit, maybe a bit better than my own. I was about to set the two side by side when I glanced at her phone, and saw the preview of a message. Smiling, I grabbed it and strode to the bathroom door. I knocked.
“He’s not coming home tonight,” I called out. “His flight is delayed.”
I heard the shower turn off abruptly. I waited for a bit before she came out in a bathrobe and with a towel turban on her head. She snatched the phone from my hands and quickly unlocked it.
I could see her smile widen as she scrolled through her phone, but she quickly shoved me away when I tried to move closer to her. Shrugging, I lay back in bed and watched as she typed out a message.
As soon as she was done, she gently placed her phone down on the side table and faced me. “I guess you’re right, I don’t need to go,” she murmured in that low tone I loved, as her robe slipped quietly off her shoulders. “I’m staying right here.”
I pulled her to the bed and we kissed passionately.
